Truck crash claims the life of Pennsylvania teen

The reality of the situation is that accidents on the roadways happen and sometimes there is not much that can be done to prevent them. Defensive driving is a part of being a driver. It is imperative to know what you are doing on the roadways as well as what everyone else is doing. Truck accidents definitely play into the whole defensive driving scheme. Due to the weight and size of the trucks on the highways, truck crashes can be that much more devastating and deadly than other types of accidents.

Near Chester Heights, a teen was killed in a trucking accident. The teen boy was walking along Route 322 in the travel lane when a truck that was traveling on the roadway entered the travel lane. This resulted in the boy being struck by the truck. Emergency crews responded to the collision and transported the pedestrian boy to the hospital. The injuries that the boy suffered from the accident ultimately led to his death. The truck collision is still under investigation, and no citations have been issued at this time.

When death results from a car accident or a truck crash, the family of the victim can look to the courts for retribution in a sense. Knowing that nothing that the court can do will ease the pain of losing a loved one, but the courts can try and ease the financial burden that is associated with truck accidents. In deadly automobile accident situations, the remaining family members can pursue a wrongful death claim if fault has been determined in the accident. This claim is punitive in nature and could help cover medical bills, funeral costs, damages and pain and suffering.

There is no easy way to deal with the loss of a loved one in a vehicular accident. However, where appropriate, the courts can assist in handling legal matters related to the accident, which could ultimately lead to compensation.
