The accident occurred in Schuylkill Haven when a Buick attempted to turn into the parking lot of a local farmers market. In executing the maneuver, the driver traveled into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The pickup did not have time to stop, and it slammed into the side of the Buick.
The impact of the crash forced the pickup to collide with a Ford in the parking lot. Two people in the Buick and two people in the Ford were injured and transported to the hospital. The driver of the pickup suffered minor scrapes and declined medical treatment. Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt, which certainly served to minimize the injuries in the three-vehicle crash.
Notably, the car accident happened just before noon on a slightly-overcast Sunday morning. Traffic conditions were normal, and yet the accident occurred.
