Car accident injures man waiting for help with disabled vehicle

While most drivers in Schuylkill operate their vehicles safely, obey the law and pay close attention to what they’re doing, there is always a chance that a negligent driver will cause a car accident. Since careless drivers can do so much damage, there is the potential for serious injury and even death. People who are hurt in car crashes might face extensive hospital stays, have trouble returning to work and endure lifelong problems as a result.

A man was airlifted to the hospital when his 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 23-year-old woman. The man was sitting on the trunk of his vehicle on the side of the road waiting for assistance with repairing a flat tire when the car accident occurred. On impact, the man was thrown from the trunk of his car and into the road. The driver of the Tahoe suffered a minor injury. There was a five-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl in the vehicle with her. The children were uninjured. The woman received a citation for careless driving.

When serious injury is suffered in a car accident, there are numerous issues that must be considered in its aftermath. A person who requires an extensive hospital stay will be faced with hefty medical costs. There might be the need for rehabilitation and possibly long-term care. Insurance companies are mainly focused on keeping costs within reason and will do everything they can to avoid large payouts. Regardless of the cause of an accident, whether it’s due to a negligent driver, a driver who has been drinking or simply a matter of unforeseen circumstances, it’s important that the injured party knows how to proceed in being compensated.

The man that was hurt in this accident was flown to the hospital in critical condition. With the potential for long-term consequences from his injuries, it’s important that he understand the process of considering litigation. The case must be fully investigated. To prepare to move forward with a case, it is imperative that the victim discuss the matter with a qualified legal professional as soon as possible.
