The number of motor vehicle accidents that occur on a regular basis is staggering. Car and truck accidents are unfortunately very common to witness on the roadways. Many accidents are not of a serious nature. However, there are a number of automobile accidents that result in serious bodily injury or death. A truck accident is one of the most dangerous types of accidents because of the size of the vehicles that are involved.
In Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania, there was a fatal accident involving a trash truck and a motorcyclist. The northbound trash truck was making a right hand turn when a northbound motorcyclist ran into the back of the truck as it was turning. The motorcycle and its driver ended up underneath the truck. The driver was declared dead at the scene. There were two people in the trash truck at the time of the accident.
Trucking accidents often cause serious damage and injury to those involved. Truck drivers are often held to a higher standard of driving when they are operating their vehicles. That is because the sheer size and weight of trucks makes them more likely to be involved in vehicular accidents where injury occurs.
Truck accidents, like other accidents, have a great impact on those who are involved. The victims, as well as the victim’s surviving family members, have to deal with what needs to happen after a truck accident. If serious bodily injury or death occurs, the medical bills that are associated with that may be quite costly. As such, it is imperative that the victims’ rights are protected. This means that if those involved in any type of truck or car accident feel that there was negligence on the part of the other party, then legal action may be necessary.
Legal action in accidents where injury or death occurs includes, but is not limited to, personal injury and wrongful death suits. Wrongful death suits are designed to compensate the victim or the victim’s family. No amount of money can make up for the tragic loss of life, but it may give people a sense of justice.
