Arlen “Rick” Day
Arlen (Rick) Day, II is a 1972 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. After high school, Rick worked in factory setting for 21 years and also performed auto repairs and customizing.
In 1994, Rick set his goal to become a lawyer and began by attending Daytona Beach Community College (now Daytona State University) making the Dean’s List and President’s List each year, and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Mu Rho, Honor Society.
After graduating from Daytona Beach Community College, Rick attend the University of Central Florida, with a major in psychology and minor in pre-law, and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Rick then attended the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, in Carlisle. While attending the Dickinson School of Law, Rick performed an internship with the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office. In 2002, Rick graduated from Dickinson Law School with the degree of Juris Doctor.
In 2004, Rick began his law career with Fanelli, Evans & Patel, P.C. Rick performs a wide variety of legal services, including personal injury, car crashes, slip-and-falls, defective products, dangerous properties, protection from abuse cases, divorce, child-support, partition of property, adverse possession and a variety of other legal services. Rick was voted the Pottsville Republican Reader’s Choice Best Divorce Attorney 2024. Rick has appellate experience, including having oral arguments before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania on a number of occasions, in civil matters.
Rick is active in the local community. He serves as Solicitor for the Borough of Girardville and provides legal programs to schools, such as mock-trials and the “Stepping Out” program, which is an informational program informing students of the legal issues they may face in the future, as well as discussions of career selection. In 2022, Rick received a Schuylkill County “Friend of Education Award.” Rick also donates to the St. Clair Women’s Club, providing gifts for the Club’s Christmas events.
