Community Support

For decades now, the attorneys and staff at Fanelli, Evans & Patel, P.C., have made community involvement a priority year after year. We have always understood the importance of giving back to the community. We remain proud of the fact that our commitment, dedication and success in the courtroom are matched by our commitment to the communities we live and work in. We also understand that community service means much more than showing up at an occasional event. That is why the members of our firm have continuously assumed leadership positions in community-related organizations and events.

In addition to serving the communities and school districts we live and work in by accepting solicitorship and special counsel positions, our lawyers are far and away the most involved group of lawyers when it comes to professional organizations that serve and protect our legal rights. All of our lawyers are members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association), the Schuylkill County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. What distinguishes our lawyers from many others is the fact that we strive to take leadership positions in the professional organizations we belong to.

Understanding that community service involves more than rendering legal advice and helping shape policy, our lawyers have maintained a strong tradition of civic involvement over the past few decades. Our lawyers and their families are members of St. John the Baptist Church in Pottsville, St. Nicholas in Minersville, St. Patrick’s Church in Pottsville, the Faith Worship Center in Orwigsburg and the PMVS Hindu Temple in Summit Station. Our lawyers are also members of the Citizen’s Fire Company in Palo Alto, the Landingville Hose Company, the Second Mountain Rod & Gun Club in Orwigsburg and the Beckville Fish & Game Club in Cressona.

Attorney Fred Fanelli has been actively involved with the Railway Park Little League Association and many of the improvements that were made to the Railway Park Little League Complex. Attorney Albert Evans is chairman of the Schuylkill Haven Island Committee, an organization that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to restore the Island in Schuylkill Haven and to turn what was essentially unused, undeveloped waste land into a flourishing complex of baseball, soccer and athletic fields. Attorney Sud Patel serves on the Orwigsburg Memorial Restoration Committee, which is looking to restore the once historic and now dilapidated Orwigsburg Veterans Memorial Building. For several years, our firm has also sponsored a team for the Schuylkill County Relay for Life, our county’s most prominent cancer awareness annual fundraising event.

Since many of our lawyers have been involved in sports since childhood and continue to appreciate and realize the importance of athletics in the development of young boys and girls, we are proud of our continuous involvement with youth sports. Youth sports programs we have coached and been involved in over the years include Pottsville youth baseball, basketball and soccer; Schuylkill Haven youth baseball, basketball and flag football; CYO baseball and basketball; Blue Mountain soccer, basketball, football and track and field; Orwigsburg Area Youth League baseball and basketball; and YMCA baseball and basketball programs.

We assure our clients, colleagues and residents throughout Schuylkill County that we will continue to be leaders not only in the courtroom, but in the community as well.
