Car accident leaves Pennsylvania woman with minor injuries

When two or more vehicles collide, the resulting injuries and property damage can range from minor to tragic. Ideally, at the worst, a car crash would result in no more than property damage without any physical harm to the individuals involved. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. A recent Pennsylvania accident resulted in one woman being transported to the hospital.

The auto accident occurred on a Sunday evening when one driver pulled her vehicle out from a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to a local hospital. She was treated for minor injuries and later released. A passenger in the other car complained of chest pain but refused medical treatment.

Thankfully, in this case, the woman’s injuries were minor. But, far too often, auto accidents result in serious injury that may have a lasting impact not only on the injured victim but also on their family and loved ones.

When an individual is harmed in a car accident, that person may be able to recover compensation. They can recover compensation by filing a personal injury lawsuit against a negligent party whose lack of care contributed to the occurrence of the accident. Most of the time, the amount of the compensation depends upon the physical, emotional and financial hardships that arise as a result of the accident. The damages may cover medical expenses, lost wages and, in some cases, pain and suffering.

If an individual suffers fatal injuries in a car wreck caused by another’s lack of care, then their surviving loved ones may be able to file a wrongful death claim against the negligent party. The damages in this case would again depend upon the situation but would likely be similar and might also include death expenses and lost wages if the deceased party was a family breadwinner.

Victims of car accidents do not recover overnight. In fact, their lives may never be the same. However, fair compensation can help them to recover from the financial obligations that arise after the accident.
